For most business professionals, high-count pure cotton is the safest and most comfortable choice: it is thin yet crisp and breathable. Wool shirts are warmer in winter but should never be thicker than your suit fabric.

Keep the garment shape by storing uniforms on proper hangers; wash and clean them before storage and keep storage areas dust-free; and protect natural-fibre garments (silk, wool, cotton) from moths with anti-moth agents.
